'Finding Your Freedom' Fall 2026

Sale Price: $1,850.00 Original Price: $1,950.00

There are times as jazz musicians that we find ourselves in something of a rut: playing licks we’ve played for years, or looking at chord progressions in the old familiar ways…there can be comfort and utility in this (some licks just sound good!). Yet, we might feel bored or sense that there are other, more creative paths through the songs we love to play.

Often, by just utilizing a few simple tools such as voice-leading, making use of the melody (with it’s lyrics and contours), exploring different rhythms, voicings, and chord qualities, we can expand our vocabulary and play with more freedom, flexibility, spontaneity, and joy.

As a participant in this unique course, you'll have access to a combination of private lessons with me and dynamic interactive group classes. I have found that the group learning experience can be a great way to absorb information quickly — by being with others, asking questions, and being inspired by witnessing other’s progress.

Your private lessons will be a chance to go deeper into repertoire, technique, get support for upcoming projects, composition, or anything else that’s on your musical wishlist.

The course:

  • Four 1-Hour Private Lessons

  • Four 2-Hour Interactive Group Classes

Cost: $1950 — Early bird: $1850 before Sept. 3rd

Installment plans available.

Spots are limited. All instruments welcome.

Group class dates:  September 22-23 & October 27-28 2:00-4:00pm EST on Zoom

(All Zoom classes will be recorded with lifetime access.)

Following registration you will receive an email to schedule your first private lesson. Lessons to be completed by November 1.
